AzMERIT SAMPLE TESTS

New Sample Tests are now available on the AzMERIT portal at azmeritportal.org. There is a sample test for each grade/subject combination and for each EOC test. These sample tests are approximately one half length tests, match the test blueprint, and include the same item types as those on the operational tests. Answer keys are provided in ancillary Scoring Guides along with the “Guide to the Sample Test” document.

AzMERIT FALL 2015 & SPRING 2016 RESULTS RELEASED
This new report includes only the combined student performance results from the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 administrations of the AzMERIT statewide assessment. This file contains reports of the percentage of Arizona public students who passed AzMERIT, and the percentage at each performance level. The report include percentages for Arizona public schools, districts, and charter holders, country, and statewide results.
PRELIMINARY 2015/16 STATE LEVEL AZMERIT RESULTS RELEASED
June 2016
The Arizona Department of Education released preliminary state level AzMERIT results for the 2015-2016 school year on June 21, 2016. The results included statewide passing and proficiency rates for both English language arts and mathematics in grades 3-8 and high school.
Final AzMERIT results for all Arizona public schools, districts and charter holders will be made available in late August. Data released at that time will also include demographic breakdowns and performance by school type (district, charter and alternative).

2016/2017 TESTING WINDOWS
AzMERIT will be administered to students in Grades 3 through high school in English Language Arts and Mathematics at their grade level. Students taking high school level English Language Arts and Mathematics will take AzMERIT End-of-Course assessments that will test their proficiency in these subjects near the end of the course. Students enrolled in high school level course work that qualify for EOC testing prior to being enrolled in high school are not required to take the grade level test.

In November 2014, the Arizona State Board of Education adopted a new statewide achievement test, AzMERIT, for Arizona students.AzMERIT (Arizona’s Measurement of Educational Readiness to Inform Teaching) is Arizona’s new statewide achievement test.
